Tribute from Amy from The Philippines

Grandma Ita…it was my great joy to have met you a year ago during the traditional wedding of your granddaughter Ita and yes…..it was one of my greatest memories with your family once again…..as i have always been part of your family’s greatest occasions. I was there taking part of the joys and tears with your family from the wedding of your grand daughters, ordination and first mass officiated by Fr. Joe, the funeral of Joan Yein’s dad, and celebrations among others. You are such an interesting woman I have ever met in my 4 years stay in Cameroon. You have born a Christian family united with love and faith in God. I saw how your family was so close to each other down to the last generation. Your family’s togetherness is incomparable, and I believe it came from how you raised your children and your children’s children and grandchildren. You are truly a blessing from God! And I thank God for this rare opportunity of wonderful memories and lifetime experience I had with you and your family who have shown love to a foreigner like me in your beautiful country! My family here in the Philippines shares the same sorrow! You will forever be in my memories, till we meet again! Amy Norona VSO Volunteer (Philippines)
