Oh how I regret not being able to say the last goodbye. It is sad that as we grow older we lose connection with our love ones. Though I knew she was getting tired and might be called home at any time it was still hard for me to accept that fact. I wish to thank all those who have been there for her in every step of the way. You guys deserve blankets. I was trying to think of a perfect tribute to write to a wonderful, amazing, strong and compassionate woman but honestly I don't really believe perfection is something that can be attained. We are who we are and where we are today because of the strong love Nini had for her brother, Ncham. Nini, you were so protective of my father and all of us. You made sure he had the education you never had, get married in a christian family and you never desisted from giving support when it was needed. Thanks for the sacrifices especially when you brought my father from Muwa to Njinikom to expose him to a Christian way of life. You were like a mother to my mom, in fact she idolized you as her most beloved and preferred sister-in-law. My mom would not entertain the fact that any of us would travel to Njinikom and not make time to go to Fuanantui to see Nini. When we were growing up, going to Fuanantui was always an exiting moment for me to get a break from the nagging at home. Of course, we always returned with yuangsi, cocoyams and other food items. Whenever we arrived Fuanantui, we were specially treated with some rice hidden in ikang and fried eggs. I cherished every moment I spent with you, Nini. You were a busy body, never asking for assistance from anybody. When I learned Nini was very sick, I knew her time was up but nevertheless I did not want her to leave us. It was very tough and hard for me the day Fr. Joe called to announce the sad news. Jel a jung a Na Bowom. I know you will have an automatic pass into heaven. I will never forget you, I will always love and pray for you. Hyacintha (Niece)
