Tribute to Nini Ita

Nini Ita. As the Angels welcome you to his divine presence I look back with Love and Understanding at the exemplary life you lived; with prayer and never 'ending thanking' God for your many blessings be they in the form of your Little brother's kids......my siblings as you would come down to Njinikom and rejuvenate the Njangwain all over again and family and friends would dance through the night........Nini you taught by example as I remember spending time with you at your farmhouse in Twah Fundong. Prayers before meals, prayers at bedtime and upon waking up. Prayers, Prayers, Prayers. You led by example. I remember when Emmanuel was born and Pa King came down and we led a three man procession with Pa infront blasting Njangwain songs from his tape recorder and Ma King with the baby following and I tagging behind. It was a hot day. We would stop at all gatherings for a quick Njangwain as Pa King would show off his priced possession and so little by little we drew closer to the compound in 'Fuanantwi'. Nini came running and filililililililililing back and forth never closing the gap till we entered the compound where she danced for like a good ten minutes before like an after thought ventured to ask for and welcome the baby home. Significance. Take time to celebrate and cherish life. Nini Ita left a great legacy for us all to emulate. Nini you will be forever missed. Bye Bye. Paul Wallang
